Global IT Service Management software company Axios Systems (www.axiossystems.com), has achieved its first sale in the Indian sub-continent - and immediately donated the proceeds to victims of the South Asian earthquake.
Axios said United Bank Limited (www.ubl.com.pk) had contracted to buy its assyst Help Desk and ITSM solution which allows users to log and monitor incidents and control their IT infrastructures. Axios has several hundred blue chip private and public sector clients around the world. The deal has been done in partnership with IBM Software and IT services company, Si3.
United Bank Limited, which has its headquarters in Karachi, is one of the largest commercial banks in Pakistan, operating more than 1,000 domestic branches and 15 offices overseas.
Ailsa Symeonides, Sales and Marketing Director of Axios Systems, said the donation to the fund set up by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf would total at least $US 25,000. “It is almost impossible to imagine the suffering of the millions of people in Pakistan and India who have been caught up in this dreadful disaster,” she commented. “Our contribution will provide a tangible expression of our support and sympathy.”
The earthquake on 8 October killed more than 85,000 people and made up to three million homeless.
